Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho swapping FCs as per the rumors on

Manchester United and Chelsea are looking into ways to complete the much-discussed trade of Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho. Even though a swap offer could seem like a good idea, there are a lot of challenges that must be solved for the transaction to go through. According to a Daily Mail article, one of the primary roadblocks is the £70 million in pay and bonuses that Sterling owes Chelsea for the final three years of his deal.

The report continued by saying that while Manchester United is eager to reduce Sancho’s £250,000 weekly contract, they have no interest in assisting the Blues in coming to a financial arrangement with Sterling.

Decision made by the manager of Chelsea

Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling, both of England, have been working apart from the first squad, according to statements made by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca earlier in the season. The Italian even suggested that if Sterling and Chilwell choose to stay at Stamford Bridge, they would have trouble getting playing time, according to Reuters. “They are training apart right now. I find it hard to provide minutes to everyone in our large squad. Therefore, it would probably be best to leave if they are searching for minutes,” Enzo Maresca had informed reporters, according to Reuters.

Enzo Maresca continued by saying that Raheem Sterling was not the kind of winger he had been hoping to have in his lineup. Maresca was cited by Reuters as saying, “I’m not saying he’s not a good player, but I prefer different kinds of wingers. I told Raheem before Manchester City that he wouldn’t be able to play many minutes for us. I mentioned that although Chilwell is a kind guy, his position will make it difficult for him to work with us. It’s honest; it’s not harsh,” Enzo Maresca continued.

Manchester United in talks for transfer

Jadon Sancho’s potential transfer to Manchester United has been discussed with Serie A powerhouse Juventus. This summer, following a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, the England international made his way back to Manchester United. According to reports, the Premier League team would prefer to work with Juventus directly for cash.

However, Sancho, 24, is rumored to be well aware of Chelsea’s interest and may choose to stay in London rather than move to Italy. Raheem Sterling is reportedly interested in returning to the northwest, where he played for Manchester City for seven years, according to Daily Mail.
