What do the LA Clippers plan to do with their roster after their disappointing start to the season?
The LA Clippers have arguably had the most disappointing start to the NBA season for a team that was expected to be competitive this season.
The Clippers were expected to be a competitive side, given the moves that they made this summer to sign big-name players like Bradley Beal, Chris Paul, and Brook Lopez.
However, things have not gone their way at all, as the Clippers are 6-20 this season, boasting one of the worst records in the NBA today.
And after the Clippers’ disrespectful treatment of Chris Paul, many felt they were throwing in the towel on their season, and getting ready to move on from this poorly constructed roster.
LA Clippers have no plans to trade away players after poor start to season
Ramona Shelburne spoke on NBA Today about the chatter she has heard about the LA Clippers as they continue to struggle this season.
Despite a lot of speculation surrounding their team, the Clippers are not going to trade any big names and will try to compete and change their fortunes for the remainder of the NBA season.
“I don’t get the sense that they’re (the Clippers) thinking about blowing it up. I think they want to get back to being as competitive as they can be.
The timeline of Chris Paul’s SHOCKING LA Clippers exit 😳
“They’ve been a little more competitive in these last few games. Their defense has been better… When you’re losing games, you keep finding ways to lose games.
“But they are closer, they are getting better. And I don’t think they’re ready to pull the plug on James Harden or Kawhi Leonard, or any of those other names.
“I think it would be something around the margin just to change the vibe… They owe their first-round pick to Oklahoma City. The All-Star game is in LA.
“Steve Ballmer is a competitive guy; I don’t see them being comfortable trying to bottom out. I think they’re just going to keep trying to climb up the standings.”
LA Clippers’ experiment with Kawhi Leonard has been a profound failure
The LA Clippers went all-in to land Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in 2019, with the expectation that the two superstars would bring a championship to their franchise.
However, since then, the Clippers haven’t come close, only reaching the Western Conference Finals once in 2021 – their best playoff finish in history.
What’s the biggest reason Kawhi Leonard didn’t make the Finals with the LA Clippers?

Leonard’s injury issues, combined with bad roster decisions, have made sure that the LA Clippers haven’t won a playoff series since their Western Conference Finals run in 2021.
It’s hard to see the LA Clippers turning their fortunes around. Despite having some elite talent, their roster isn’t good enough to help them win games consistently.
Furthermore, the Clippers’ bizarre activity, such as canceling practice during a run where they desperately need wins, isn’t doing them any favors.
