Thursday Night Football in Week 16 of the NFL season is an absolutely massive matchup in the NFC West between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are 11-3. Whoever wins will not only assume sole possession of first place in the division but will also — for now — be the top seed in the conference.

Let’s dive into my Rams vs. Seahawks predictions.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks odds

Money line: Rams +108 / Seahawks -126
Spread: Rams +1.5 (-110) / Seahawks -1.5 (-110)
Total: Over 42.5 (-110) / Under 42.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks best bet #1: Under 42.5 (-110)

It’s been raining basically all day every day in Seattle. What’s new?!?! The rain might actually be out of there by gametime, but the playing field is going to be a disaster and conditions in general are not going to be conducive to offensive football. That’s not the only reason why the under looks good. Both of these defenses are stellar. Seattle is No. 2 league wide in scoring defense, No. 4 in total defense, No. 3 against the run, No. 2 in yards per carry allowed, No. 7 against the pass, No. 1 in yards per pass attempt allowed, No. 4 in sacks and No. 5 in takeaways. Los Angeles is fourth in scoring defense, ninth against the run, eighth in yards per pass attempt allowed and sixth in takeaways.

These two division foes already went head-to-head Week 11 (in friendly L.A. conditions) — they combined for a mere 40 total points in a 21-19 victory by the home team. The Rams intercepted Seahawks QB Sam Darnold four times in that contest. Despite getting a win, Los Angeles amassed just 249 yards of total offense, including only 130 via the pass. Wide receiver Davante Adams sustained a hamstring injury in last week’s defeat of Detroit and is questionable for this one; left tackle Alaric Jackson (ankle) is questionable, as well. For the Seahawks, left tackle Charless Cross (hamstring) is also questionable. The total has already come down from 44.5, but it’s still playable even at the this number.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks best player prop bet: Kyren Williams Over 55.5 rushing yards (-112)

For the same reasons, moving the ball through the air may be difficult for the visitors on Thursday — even for a quarterback of Matthew Stafford’s caliber. One, the conditions are almost certain to be rough for passing. Two, the Seahawks’ defense is awesome against the pass. Head coach Mike Macdonald’s squad is allowing just 191.4 passing yards per contest on 6.0 yards per attempt. Seattle is solid against the run, too, but not entirely dominant.

Williams should have some openings against the ‘Hawks, just as he did in Week 11. The former Notre Dame standout ran for 91 yards and a TD despite getting a mere 12 rushing attempts. Seattle dominated the time of possession by almost 38 minutes to Los Angeles’ 22. That’s why Williams got just 12 carries; he can be expected to see much more action in this second head-to-head showdown. He has already surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in 2025 and has rushed for at least 72 yards in six of the past seven outings.
