Rangers place JT Miller on IR with upper body injury

The Rangers are placing captain JT Miller on IR with an upper body injury, per Mollie Walker. This comes as no surprise to anyone, and even though the Rangers are saying this is not related to his injury to start the season, no one is buying it. Miller has been fighting something all year, was so selfish that he played through it so he could be on the Olympic roster (to the point of rumors stating he threatened the Rangers brass about it), then came back and had a bad three games before being placed on IR.

There is no timetable for his return, and since the Rangers don’t need cap space at the moment, he remains on IR instead of LTIR. It does, however, free up a roster spot should the Rangers want to recall someone or need the roster space in a multi-player deal.

JT Miller is an unserious captain for an unserious organization.
