The Rangers have returned forward Juuso Parssinen to Hartford. The depth forward had been recalled earlier in March as the injury bug took its toll on the Rangers forwards. Parssinen played in 6 games this month, averaging about 7 minutes of ice time per game in a fourth line role. Parssinen’s return to Hartford likely means that Noah Laba is ready to return to action today against Florida or Tuesday night against New Jersey.
It will be interesting to see what Mike Sullivan does with the lines when Laba returns. Adam Sykora has not looked out of place on the Rangers second line, while JT Miller continued his inconsistent play at 3C with Tye Kartye. Miller could move back to wing and perhaps create a third line of Sykora-Laba-Kartye. Or Miller could stick on the third line, either at center or wing, with Laba and Kartye on that line.
