Valorant is one of the few games that follows a well scheduled season for its battle pass and content updates, making sure that there are no delays and that each season starts right after the previous one. The seasons are basically known as Episodes which are further broken up into Acts. Each Act comes up with a new battle pass, new content and is basically considered a competitive season.
An episode usually contains 3 acts and runs for around 6 months, an act is somewhere between 2-3 months. There are usually 2 episodes per year, one starting in January and the other in June; the dates vary depending on how long it runs for.
Update: Starting from 2025, Riot has replaced the Episodes with Seasons which lasts the whole year and is broken down into multiple acts.
Season 2026 Act 1 Duration
The current act (Season 2026 Act 1) has started on the 7th of January, 2025. This act ends on the 18th of March, 2026 after which the next act will begin.
