Rapha is pulling the plug on five of its global Clubhouse locations ahead of April 2026, with the earliest closing January 18th. Rapha announced early last year that they were tightening focus, and the Clubhouses didn’t make the cut – but not all of them are on the chopping block. The closures include the Rapha Manchester (UK) Clubhouse and four locations in the US: Boulder, Chicago, Miami, and Seattle.

What Are Rapha Clubhouses?

Since their debut more than a decade ago, Rapha’s Clubhouses have been more than just retail stores. Most see them as a casual (and consistent) place to meet cyclists in a new city (those with Clubhouses) and grab a snack with great coffee.

They’ve operated as café-style community spaces, and riders use them for meetups before and after rides. They also hold events with Rapha athletes and cycling community fixtures and served as a way for riders to discover (and purchase) the latest Rapha kit, and plug into the local chapter of the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC).

Not An Easy Decision

In a heartfelt announcement from Rapha CEO Fran Millar, she explained the tough decision: “Rapha’s Clubhouses are cultural anchors for the Rapha community worldwide… so this announcement is really tough.”

Millar followed up with a statement of intent, “I have been honest that we need to make changes at Rapha to bring greater focus. ‘Simpler, better’ is the guiding principle behind this decision. It is a painful decision, but it is the right call for the brand and our customers in the long run.

Rapha says it will work with local venues to establish RCC Partner Cafés’ and expand collaborations with existing retail partners. The idea is to keep local RCC activity alive even without a full-scale Rapha facility.
