Earlier in the match, India showcased a commanding batting performance, amassing a total of 182 on a fresh pitch in Harare. Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ruturaj Gaikwad were the standout performers, laying a solid foundation for India’s innings. Gaikwad, known for his consistency, narrowly missed his second consecutive fifty, contributing a rapid 49 off 28 balls with a strike rate of 176.
India’s bowlers complemented the batting efforts with a disciplined performance, restricting Zimbabwe to 159 for 6 in their 183-run chase. The early breakthroughs, including Bishnoi’s exceptional catch, set the tone for India’s defense.
