Real Reason WWE Picked St. Louis for NXT Stand & Deliver

WWE didn’t just move NXT Stand & Deliver off WrestleMania 42 weekend — they strategically planted it in St. Louis for one very specific reason.

As reported earlier, WWE pulled Stand & Deliver from Las Vegas due to heavy production strain tied to running multiple major events during WrestleMania week on the West Coast. The shift to April 4 at The Factory in St. Louis was framed internally as a logistical move to ease the workload. Now there’s an additional piece to the puzzle.

WrestleVotes addressed the location choice directly during a March 2, 2026 Q&A session. According to WrestleVotes, the move wasn’t random at all — it was strictly about efficiency.

“Strictly talking about location, SmackDown is in St. Louis the night before, so you’re going to have your production people there, the trailers there. Everything you need to shoot live TV is already in the city. So instead of picking a random city, they double up there.”

In other words, WWE is stacking events in the same market to cut down on travel, setup time, and production costs. With SmackDown already scheduled in St. Louis, all the necessary trucks, equipment, and crew would already be in place — making Stand & Deliver far easier to execute.

Instead of spreading the company thin during WrestleMania week, WWE is clearly tightening up operations where it makes the most business sense. The takeaway from this? The relocation wasn’t just about avoiding West Coast timing headaches — it was about maximizing efficiency by piggybacking on an existing TV setup.

Should Stand & Deliver permanently live outside WrestleMania weekend, or is this just a one-year adjustment? Drop your thoughts below and let us know.
