Resident Evil: Requiem continues to sell extremely well, with the latest figures showing the game setting a new milestone for the long-running survival horror series.

Capcom recently released its Integral Report for 2025, offering insight into the company’s performance over the past year and updated sales figures for its biggest franchises.

According to the report, the Resident Evil series has now surpassed 170 million copies sold worldwide, putting it comfortably ahead of Capcom’s next biggest franchise, Monster Hunter, by around 50 million units.

Resident Evil: Requiem Sales Reach 6 Million

The latest figures suggest that Resident Evil: Requiem has now passed 6 million copies sold, just weeks after Capcom announced the game had already reached 5 million units in its first few days after launch.

That milestone officially makes Requiem the fastest Resident Evil game to reach 6 million sales.

Resident Evil Requiem Sales Compared to Other Games

For comparison, the best-selling game in the series remains Resident Evil 2 Remake (2019), which has sold 18.2 million copies worldwide.

Requiem is already around one-third of the way toward that total, an impressive achievement given it has only been available for a short time.

With the series celebrating its 30th anniversary, the strong performance of Requiem highlights just how successful Capcom’s survival horror revival has been over the past decade.

The return of Leon Kennedy and Raccoon City certainly helped get eyes on Requiem, but there’s no denying the underlying quality of the game itself. In fact, in the last decade, Resident Evil has had a monumental resurgence.

Capcom is also continuing to support Requiem with new content. A story expansion is already planned, and the 30th anniversary celebrations will include a concert tour and a new Resident Evil movie directed by Zach Cregger, the filmmaker behind the Oscar-winning horror film Weapons.
