Ricardo Pepi’s reported move to Fulham breaks down

Ricardo Pepi’s reported move to English Premier League club Fulham has broken down.

Pepi will remain at Eredivisie side PSV for the remainder of the season after the Dutch outfit failed to find a replacement for the American. Despite Fulham and PSV reportedly agreeing to a €37 million ($43.7 million) deal, Pepi will stay in Eindhoven for now.

Pepi is currently sidelined until at least March as he recovers from a broken arm. The 23-year-old has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for PSV this season, taking the No. 9 shirt following Luuk De Jong’s exit last summer.

The Texas native made the move to PSV back in 2023 and has since contributed 37 goals in 90 appearances. He helped PSV win back-to-back league titles and deliver several positive moments in the UEFA Champions League.

Prior to his move to Holland, Pepi was on the books at Bundesliga club Augsburg, but failed to score in his 16 appearances there.

Since making his debut for the U.S. men’s national team in 2021, Pepi has scored 13 goals for the senior squad. However, he only made one appearance in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad in 2025.

PSV currently leads the Eredivisie by 17 points over Feyenoord and also remains in the KNVB Cup competition this winter.
