Team India batter Rinku Singh has revealed a new tattoo on his left hand ahead of the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh in October. The tattoo features the phrase “God’s plan,” a term Rinku first used in reference to his Uttar Pradesh teammate Yash Dayal during IPL 2024. The message gained attention when Dayal played a crucial role in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK), helping RCB reach the tournament finals. Even India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav later teased Rinku with the same phrase on social media.
Rinku shared a picture of himself getting the tattoo done at a shop on Instagram, adding to the list of Indian cricketers who sport inked artwork, including Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul.
Rinku Singh’s Performance and Challenges
Rinku had a challenging run with the bat in the recent T20I series against Sri Lanka, managing just six runs across three matches. Despite his struggles, he contributed with the ball by picking up two wickets in the third T20I, helping India tie the game, which they eventually won in the Super Over. So far, Rinku has scored 418 runs in 23 T20Is for India, maintaining an impressive strike rate of 174.16 and recording two half-centuries.
