Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) head coach Chandrakant Pandit has provided a fitness update about Rinku Singh ahead of the game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He confirmed that the India National Cricket Team batter is fit and will be available to play the next game.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) faced a massive injury scare during the game against Rajasthan Royals. Rinku Singh got injured while fielding during the fag end of the second innings at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which raised many speculations.
Rinku Singh was electric in the field during the game against the Rajasthan Royals. The Southpaw made two brilliant saves in the outfield, and it ultimately turned out to be the match-winning effort as Kolkata Knight Riders registered a staggering one-run win over the opposition.

On the first ball of the 20th over, Rinku Singh ran to his right at deep cover and dived full length to deny Jofra Archer a boundary. However, he seemed to be in massive discomfort after that, as he was seen limping while holding the region near his right groin.
Then, on the last ball of the innings, Rinku Singh charged in from his position on the long-off boundary, collected the ball, and threw it on the bounce to Arora, who ran out the diving Archer to seal a one-run win.
With Rinku Singh struggling, there were a lot of speculations about whether he would be fit for the next game against the Chennai Super Kings or not. However, in what is a massive boost for the team, Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Chandrakant Pandit has confirmed that the batter is fit.
Speaking to reporters, he said (as quoted by RevSportz): “Rinku Singh is fit.”
