Rishabh Pant has finally found his rhythm with the bat in IPL 2025. After struggling throughout the season, the LSG captain smashed a stunning century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in what turned out to be his last league game of the season.
Rishabh Pant Hits Form At The Right Time
Pant came in to bat at number 3 after the early fall of Matthew Breetzke. The move raised a few eyebrows as Nicholas Pooran was expected to bat in that position.
But Pant showed his intent from the very first ball. He hit a six and followed it up with two quick boundaries, making his intentions very clear.
He continued to attack in the middle overs and played with full control. He reached his century in just 54 balls by hitting a boundary off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 18th over.
As soon as he got to the milestone, Pant brought out his famous somersault celebration, bringing smiles to LSG fans.

Pant remained unbeaten on 118 runs and helped Lucknow Super Giants post a huge total of 227 runs in their 20 overs. It was his second IPL century and came at a time when his form was under question.
RCB’s Top-Two Hopes In Trouble
This knock from Pant has put RCB under huge pressure. They needed to win this game with a big margin to have any chance of finishing in the top two. But now, even a win might not be enough to beat Punjab Kings on net run rate.
RCB now need to chase a huge total to stay alive for the top-two finish. If they lose, they will have to play in the Eliminator match against Mumbai Indians.
