His return in the longest format is yet to be done. From September 19, India will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. Before that, some of the big names of Team India will be playing in Duleep Trophy.
Rishabh Pant will be seen in the Duleep Trophy before the Test series against Bangladesh. As the tournament is starting within two days, the wicketkeeper-batter is hustling hard in the nets. Being a member of group B in the upcoming tournament, he is all set to conquer.
Pant shared the video of his intense practice session and penned a note. He wrote, “I try not to have expectations because they can tend to tear you apart. I try to work as hard as I possibly can and give every ounce of a hundred percent & keep learning from it.”
Pant Eyeing Test Comeback:
After almost six months, Test cricket is returning back on Indian soil. After India won the five-match Test series against England earlier this year, they haven’t played in the longest format. After meeting a life-threatening car accident in 2022, Rishabh Pant came back to International cricket in the T20 World Cup stage. Now, he is eyeing his potential comeback to Test cricket in the upcoming series.
Before that, he will play in the Duleep Trophy and that will be a crucial factor for him to secure a place in the Test squad for the Bangladesh series. India is all set to lock horns with the neighbors in the longest format. This will play a crucial role in the World Test Championship 2023-25 Cycle.
In the coming days, Team India will compete in several Test series. They will face New Zealand in a three-match series at home in October and November. Later this year, India will travel to Australia for a thrilling five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. Fans can look forward to enjoying the excitement of red-ball cricket once again.
