Road Dogg is ready to make the towns again.
The WWE Hall of Famer has been announced for two live event appearances after leaving his role in the company. Last week, it was reported that “Road Dogg” Brian James stepped down from his role as co-head writer of WWE SmackDown.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Road Dogg personally chose to vacate his position. Johnson reported that James “openly expressed his unhappiness.” It was also noted that the former six-time WWE Tag Team Champion tendered his resignation in person.
Now, Road Dogg is set to appear at Squared Circle Expo VI on March 27-28 in Indianapolis.
“Oh, you didn’t know?!?!?! The return of former WWE Intercontinental, Hardcore, and Tag Team Champion, The Road Dogg, Jesse James, is coming back to Squared Circle Expo! Joining his D-Generarion [sic] X and New Age Outlaws tag team partner, “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn for a special reunion that only SCX can deliver! Thanks to our friends over at GLCW for facilitating such an iconic tag team back to Indianapolis this coming March 27 and 28! Pro photo ops for the NAO will be announced and ready for sale soon! You are not gonna wanna miss this one,” the convention wrote on its Instagram account.
In addition, Road Dogg was also announced for Great Lakes Championship Wrestling’s Blizzard Brawl 21. That event, at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee, takes place on Saturday, December 5. James is listed as appearing with Gunn as the New Age Outlaws.
