Uthappa’s knock was reminiscent of his previous fiery knocks for India and in the IPL.

Former India star Robin Uthappa recreated his IPL heroics with a whirlwind knock in the ongoing Hong Kong Sixes tournament, during a match against Pakistan.

The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) icon gave India a dream start as he launched his attack right from the first over.

Uthappa, who is leading the Indian team at the tournament, struck two exquisite boundaries off the first two deliveries and then smashed the third ball for a massive six, taking full advantage of the flat track in Mong Kok.

The 38-year-old then followed it up with another boundary and a maximum on the fourth and fifth balls respectively before finishing with a single on the final delivery.

Pakistan bowler Aamer Yamin struggled to restrict the onslaught, conceding 27 runs in his opening over, which included two wides.

Uthappa’s aggression continued into the next over as he hit another six off Faheem Ashraf’s first delivery.
