Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli told to retire by fans after series whitewash to New Zealand

India suffered their first-ever Test series whitewash at home against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai as the Men in Blue failed to chase the target of 147 and got bundled out for only 121 runs, losing the match by 25 runs.

This victory also meant that the Black Caps completed their first-ever Test series whitewash away from home. It was a pretty poor performance by the Indian team who came up short in both the batting and bowling departments against New Zealand.

Ajaz Patel was the star of the show for the Kiwis taking a total of 11 wickets in the match. Patel picked up 5 scalps in the first innings and took 6 more in the second.

After the defeat, the Indian team started getting brutally trolled on social media but the players who faced the most criticism were undoubtedly the senior stars, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who were even told to retire by many fans.
