India’s star batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were not a part of optional practice session on the eve of the third Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against Australia set to be played at Gabba in Brisbane from December 14. The match is extremely important for India as it will have a massive impact on their chance of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) finals for the third consecutive time.
The series is currently levelled 1-1 as Australia made a massive comeback in the Adelaide Test, as they won the the match by 10 wickets after they got destroyed by a 295-run loss in Perth.
Both Rohit and Virat took part in the Brisbane practice session and were seen working hard to overcome their issues, but their decision to miss training a day before the big match has given rise to a lot of questions towards the two players.
For the Gabba Test, if we take early signs in consideration, there is going to be a significant quantity of grass remaining on the field. The field had a nice coverage of grass on Thursday, two days before the game begins.
