The group had initially planned to depart from Bridgetown at 6 pm local time, aiming to reach Delhi by 7:45 pm IST on Wednesday. Their final destination in New Delhi was scheduled for early Thursday at 5 am. However, unforeseen delays necessitated adjustments to their travel arrangements.
Prior to their return journey, the BCCI shared a video featuring the trophy, teasing its imminent return with the caption, “It’s coming home.” After overcoming various challenges, Team India successfully boarded their flight, ensuring their safe arrival with the trophy expected by tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is organizing a special felicitation ceremony to honor the players. Specific details regarding the date and time of this event are currently being finalized and will be announced shortly. The team is slated to meet with the Prime Minister tomorrow at 11 am for this prestigious occasion.
