He returned to the US a month after the T20 World Cup to launch his academy in Dallas, where he addressed questions about his retirement plans.
Rohit said, “I just said it. I don’t do that far ahead. So clearly, you will be seeing me play for a while.”
Next year, Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy. BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed Rohit Sharma’s captaincy for the 2025 tournament, sparking excitement among fans.
