Roman Reigns is headed to WWE WrestleMania 42 for the World Heavyweight Championship. His opponent, CM Punk, will put his title on the line at The Showcase of the Immortals in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, recently, Trick Williams appeared on The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show. When asked about his dream opponent, Williams named Reigns. The current WWE SmackDown star said,
“Roman Reigns. To me, he’s at the top of the business today. He’s the one who put the business on his back for 1316 days. That’s how I am. I’ve been jumping for a very long time. I walked on to the University of South Carolina, and I walked on to the NFL. [So] I want the best, and Roman Reigns has proven to be the best.”
Top WWE Star Comments On Reigns ‘Politician’ Label For Him
In a recent episode of his “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” podcast, Cody Rhodes addressed Reigns, calling him a “politician.” The OTC used this label for Rhodes during one of their promo battles when they feuded for the Undisputed WWE Title before WrestleMania 40. The American Nightmare said,
“Roman Reigns called me a politician one time, and I remember thinking, ‘I’m not mad at that.’ I grew up in the business. Everyone is, to a degree. To me, there is politics and posturing, and then there is snaking and backstabbing.”
“One of the great things about you as a peer and as a wrestler in the locker room, just straight up. I think a lot of guys on our modern roster are straight up. ‘This is what I think is better. This is what I think isn’t. Let’s talk about it.’ Someone is going to make a decision, but the opinion has been weighed.”
“You can smell when you get around the ones today, ‘This is going to be really good for you,’ and you can already tell, ‘No, it’s not. I can tell it’s not even for me.’”
