Mentor Yuvraj Singh had some inspiring words to say and even shared a specially made video clip with Abhishek Sharma right after he scored his maiden international century last night while playing for India against Zimbabwe; this happened during the second T20I, isn’t that amazing? Abhishek had earlier failed to score a single run when he faced his first ball at stumps but turned things around beautifully hitting one hundred runs off forty seven balls against Zimbabwe at Harare sports club on Sunday, July 7. As a result, he was awarded the Man Of The Match award due to his outstanding performance in that game.
Yuvraj made a huge impact on Abhishek’s growth through the years with both of them even watching the T20 World Cup final. He has now taken to social media to post a special message for the young batter, congratulating him on his first century as well. The tweet also came along with a video package for the youngster showing where Abhishek has come from in terms of performance.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day! Congratulations @IamAbhiSharma4 on the journey to your first International 100! Many more to come,” said Yuvraj.
“Abhishek made a video call to Yuvraj after making his hundred and the Indian legend told him how proud he felt. Congratulations! This is well deserved, you made it happen. Yuvraj said in the video-call they had that there would be more coming because this is just the beginning,” Abhishek Sharma said on a video-call with Yuvraj. Another time, Abhishek would claim that Yuvraj is happy when he gets out for zero.
