Wide receiver Romeo Doubs has agreed to a free-agent deal with the New England Patriots, league sources said.

Doubs was ranked No. 28 on The Athletic’s list of the top 150 free agents of 2026 and was the sixth-ranked wide receiver.

Doubs, 25, was drafted in the fourth round by the Green Bay Packers in 2022 out of the University of Nevada. The career Packer has had to navigate a crowded Green Bay receiver room. Three different receivers have led the Packers in receptions during the four seasons Doubs has been there. His 55 catches last season marked the first time he led the team in that category. He also finished with a team-high 85 targets, which was 30 more than second-place Christian Watson. Doubs totaled 724 receiving yards, a career high, and six touchdowns.

He had one of the best performances of his career in a Week 4 40-40 tie with the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. In the overtime game, Doubs recorded six catches for 58 yards and a career-high three touchdowns.

Doubs has 2,424 career receiving yards and 21 touchdowns on 202 receptions. His 21 touchdown catches rank 24th in the league during that span, and he is the only Packer in the top 25.

Doubs has suffered two confirmed concussions in his career, both during the 2024 season, and has become one of the more recognizable players to wear the Guardian Cap for additional head protection.
