Tadej Pogacar came into the Tour of Flanders with his own monumental wrecking ball and pulverized key rivals, like Mathieu van der Poel, Remco Evenpoel, Wout van Aert, Mads Pedersen and others to win another major one day race. He left Van der Poel on the Oude Kwaremont and finished 34 seconds ahead. Remco Evenepoel impressed on his debut, distanced on the Patersberg and chasing solo for over 50km to finish third. This is the Slovenian’s 12th monument and his third Flanders, now he eyes next Sunday’s Paris-Roubaix.
