The ECB has implemented strict punishments for Counties who curate “below average” pitches – including stripping them of all points for the game. The issue is…it’s not very clear what a “below average” pitch is beyond a little too hard for the batters?

The Aussie government put out a policy to fight gambling which includes just 3 ads an hour between 6 AM to 8:30 PM (and presumably unlimited amounts outside those hours). Mark Kempster – one of the advocates for more gambling protections – talks about the personal costs of going through a gambling addiction and the humiliation of baring his soul to the panel on the issue, just for them to implement a watered down policy.
