Rusev and Lana Try to Have A Baby » TWNP-Wrestling News

It’s been a whirlwind couple of years for CJ and Miroslav Barnyashev, better known to WWE fans as Rusev and Lana. The pair announced their separation in 2024, only to renew their vows after CJ Perry’s grandfather died in 2025. During this time, both stars parted ways with AEW, with Miro reprising his role as Rusev in WWE and CJ signing a Legends Deal for Lana. Now, The Bulgarian Brute and Ravishing Russian are looking to expand their brood as CJ Perry undergoes IVF treatments.

CJ Perry Undergoes IVF Treatment

It’s been over two years since CJ Perry worked for a wrestling promotion, and almost five years since the former Lana took a bump. Since it seems like Miro’s wife isn’t getting physical in the ring any time soon, now might be a good time for the Nashville-based couple to have a baby.

CJ Perry took to Instagram yesterday to share a video of herself in a hospital bed in California. The former valet noted that she is being wheeled to the back now and asked her followers to wish her luck.

While CJ Perry didn’t give any context, her hashtags told the story:

#wrestling #ivf #wwe #pregnancy #ivfjourney

It looks like CJ Perry undergoes IVF treatments to help her get pregnant. These treatments are becoming increasingly common as infertility rates increase.

Plus, athletes, such as former pro wrestlers like Lana, have a harder time getting pregnant. Lastly, CJ Perry is 40 years old. Any woman over 35 is automatically considered a high-risk pregnancy, as the chances of conception and carrying to term dramatically decrease. We wish the couple luck!

What Is IVF?

IVF stands for in vitro fertilization. It’s a popular form of assisted reproductive technology used to combine a woman’s eggs and a man’s sperm to create embryos. These embryos are implanted into the uterus in hopes of the woman’s body accepting them to achieve pregnancy.

For weeks, CJ Perry will need to give herself hormone shots. These will hopefully increase the amount of eggs created to better the odds of pregnancy.

Where Has Rusev Been?

It’s been weeks since Rusev has been on WWE TV. Perhaps the Super Athlete was busy trying to make a baby. Unfortunately for the hopeful father-to-be, he wasn’t at the bedside as CJ Perry underwent IVF implantation.

However, he did fulfill a very specific wish for his lady love. Anyone who watches Total Divas knows that Lana’s lack of pregnancy is not from lack of trying.

Even Rusev’s latest Instagram post talks about his hot, flexible wife:

“I like pleasing my wife, not just in the bedroom. But I guess with videos and pictures in the cold weather outside. So, here I am, in the snow, with buried whatever bikes are. So, here I am. I hope you’re happy, CJ.”

Rusev is back on the road after being sent home by WWE. WWE has made an edict to no longer showcase talents that don’t have storylines so that they remain fresh when they’re ready to be used.

Meanwhile, CJ Perry told TMZ Sports that she wants to hit the independents as a manager. It’s the former Lana’s goal to find the next “super athlete.” However, she will probably want to take it easy while undergoing IVF treatments. It’ll be increasingly unlikely that CJ Perry will hit the roads if she gets pregnant.
