Sandman Announces Retirement Match » TWNP-Wrestling News

On WWE television, Gunther has ended the careers of Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles. When it comes to ECW figures, Joey Janela’s Spring Break is where they have their final hurrah. While last year’s match against Sabu was controversial in that some believe it killed him, this isn’t stopping another ECW legend from having his swan song. Sandman is swinging the Singapore cane one last time as he joins Joey Janela’s Spring Break X.

Sandman Announces Retirement Match for Joey Janela’s Spring Break

Joey Janela’s Spring Break has become a staple during WrestleMania weekend. This year, The Bad Boy is bringing his brand of pro wrestling to Horseshoe Las Vegas the night before WrestleMania.

Now, the stakes are even higher for this Las Vegas event. Joey Janela’s Spring Break X will mark Sandman’s retirement match.

Sandman has wrestled at least one match per year since 1989. So, this will mark a historic end to his 37-year career.

Another ECW Legend Retiring

Sandman’s retirement match will mark another ECW legend finishing his career. In addition to Sabu, The Dudley Boys both retired after facing The Hardys at TNA Bound for Glory. Tommy Dreamer, Crowbar, and CW Anderson are among the few ECW wrestlers still active today.

Perhaps Dawn Marie can get in the ring one last time. After all, Chelsea Green recently called the ECW legend out for being inappropriate with her husband!
