Sanju Samson has finally talked the constant rumours about the opportunities he has been getting and the irregularities with the Indian team. Even though he has performed good in domestic cricket and IPL, Samson has had a few chances to show his skills on international stage. He expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance and set aside any worries about his position. He highlighted how he is ready to step up and help whenever required.
“When they call me to play, I go and play. If not, it’s okay. I don’t overthink it. The team is doing well, so there’s no issue. I prefer to stay positive and focus on what I can control,” said Samson.
Samson’s irregular selection has been a constant topic of discussions. Interestingly, his chances with Indian team almost go inversely related to the format being played. He typically confirms a spot in T20I squad during ODI series and vice versa.
His exclusion from ODI series against Sri Lanka intensified criticism of the team management.
He further elaborated on his career goals, sharing to advance to enhance his shills.
“I want my career to move forward, so I concentrate on improving my game and focusing on what’s mind,” he added.
After the limited chances at the Rajasthan Royals man have received, he has not been able to bat as his preferred position. Intervals hanging between his batting position has not been beneficial for him.
