From 20–22 February 2026, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, will welcome coaches, leaders, and development experts from across Europe for the first-ever ParaVolley Europe Convention, “Activation Through Coaching.” Supported by World ParaVolley, the event marks a major milestone in the sport’s global development.
Bringing together participants from established and emerging programmes, the convention combines expert presentations, practical court sessions, and collaborative roundtables designed to strengthen grassroots growth, coaching pathways, and international partnerships.
World ParaVolley played a central role in initiating the concept, shaping the agenda, and supporting keynote speakers through the Activation Project, funded via Europe’s development allocation for 2025–2026. The project aims to accelerate the sport’s growth by empowering coaches and building sustainable national structures.
The programme features contributions from leading figures in sitting volleyball, including Prof. Dr. Ifet Mahmutović (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Robin de Haan (Netherlands), and Massimo Beretta (Italy), alongside strategic sessions led by ParaVolley Europe and World ParaVolley representatives.
Beyond education, the convention represents a platform for connection, enabling nations to share knowledge, form partnerships, and develop action plans to expand opportunities for athletes with disabilities.
As Sarajevo once again demonstrates its leadership in hosting and advancing sitting volleyball, this inaugural convention signals a new era of collaboration and activation for ParaVolley across Europe and beyond.
