It’s been over a year since Saraya has made an appearance on a wrestling broadcast. However, the WWE legend known as Paige made her return to the independent scene as a guest for Rhino’s Insane Wrestling Revolution (IWR). Saraya’s return made many wonder whether Paige is clamoring to return to WWE when she came out to her old theme song, “Stars In the Sky.” Rumors have been swirling after the former WWE Divas Champion’s name appeared on an alleged Royal Rumble spoilers list at #30. Plus, the Rulebreakers with Saraya podcast host has hinted at wanting one more run as Paige, especially with AJ Lee’s return. As Saraya returns to the indie scene, is she gearing up for a WWE run?
Saraya Returns to Wrestling with “Stars in the Sky” Theme
Insane Wrestling Revolution (IWR) held its Seasons Beatings Fest in Monroe, Michigan, on December 27, 2025. Sadly, this was eight years to the day that Paige received a career-ending neck injury after taking a Dropkick to the back from Sasha Banks. While that night was the last time Paige heard the song “Stars in the Sky” as a WWE wrestler, there are rumors she’ll get a second chance.
Saraya made her return to wrestling at Seasons Beatings Fest. She was scheduled to make an appearance, and the star came out to address the crowd. Most notably, Saraya came out to Paige’s WWE music, “Stars in the Sky.”
The Fighting with My Family muse made her classic entrance, complete with a side shuffle, a hand cupped over the ear, and an apron scream. Last time Saraya was in a wrestling arena, she entered to “Zombified” by Falling In Reverse. At the time, she was in AEW dating the band’s member, Ronnie Radke.
They are no longer together, and Saraya is no longer with AEW. So, it’s natural that Saraya would want to retire that theme.
It’s not uncommon for ex-WWE Superstars to use their themes on independent shows, as long as it’s not being streamed.However, Seasons Beatings aired on Triller. Therefore, there could be a case of copyright infringement. That said, it might not be a problem if Paige is coming back to WWE.
Paige Rumored for Royal Rumble Return
The woman credited for kickstarting the Women’s Evolution might be coming home soon. There are heavy rumors circulating that Saraya will reprise her role as Paige in WWE.
Every year, an image will circulate on Reddit or X, claiming to be the official Royal Rumble line-up. Sometimes the posts are close (even accurate). Other times, they are far off.
One of the images gaining most traction has Paige slotted as #30 in the Women’s Royal Rumble. We cannot guarantee the validity of this picture, but it certainly has the internet buzzing.
Why Did Paige Leave WWE?
WWE was hesitant to use Paige after she suffered from a string of neck injuries. After the WWE medical team refused to clear Paige, the company tried to put her in various roles, including SmackDown GM, manager of The Kabuki Warriors, and host of WWE Backstage.
However, WWE eventually cut ties with Saraya when her contract expired. The former Divas Champion would sign with AEW and win the Women’s Championship once.
While Saraya did wrestle, it was on a limited schedule. The star insists that her neck is as strong as it’s been in a while. A return to WWE on a part-time schedule(and under a new regime) could be just what Paige needs. In the meantime, she seems to be dusting the ring rust off.
Not only is Saraya rumored to be training with Natalya at The Dungeon, but the former Paige got physical at Seasons Beatings Fest.
Saraya Returns, Gets Physical At IWR’s Seasons Beatings Fest
Saraya came down the aisle to “Stars in the Sky” and thanked the crowd for their support. While she talked to them about her return to the independent scene, Saraya was cut off by Pierre Gerin. The brash Brit had none of it and dropped the heel manager with a Low Blow.
With a crowd going wild, Saraya was allowed to create a match. She named that AJ Francis and Kenny Urban would face each mystery opponent in a Tag Team Match. Their opponents turned out to be Rich Swann and Trey Miguel. In the end, Trey Miguel would pick up the win for the team, pinning Kenny Urban.
What’s interesting is that Saraya came down the aisle using Paige’s music to set up a match influenced by TNA storylines. Rich Swann recently returned to TNA to join AJ Francis’ Fir$t Cla$$. However, AJ Francis would bully Swann, trying to force his stablemate to help him win the X-Division Title from Leon Slater at Final Resolution. Rich Swann refused, leveling Francis with the Championship and allowing Slater to win.
Will Paige Wrestle for TNA?
TNA is heavily associated with WWE. In fact, TNA’s Leon Slater teamed with NXT’s Je’Von Evans to face AJ Styles and Dragon Lee on the Saturday Night’s Main Event of John Cena’s retirement match. John Cena had a beer with one special WWE legend and Je’Von Evans after the night was over. One would imagine Leon Slater wasn’t too far.
WWE’s partnership with TNA is seemingly deepening as TNA gets ready for its debut on AMC in January. After all, TNA signed The Hardys in an agreement that allows the brothers to work with WWE. Perhaps Paige will make her return to WWE and work with TNA, too?
Saraya did note that she was looking forward to 2026. With the Royal Rumble approaching, a Paige WWE return seems more likely than ever.
