Liverpool face rivals Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup when they return to action following the international break.
The Reds have endured a tough season so far, with a dismal run of form during October and November obliterating their hopes of defending their Premier League crown.
Arne Slot’s side remain in contention to finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League, though, and the Dutchman will hope to see his side reach the last four of the FA Cup.
Ahead of that tie, it has emerged that Liverpool are interested in an impressive Serie A midfielder.
As per CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Roma star Evan Ndicka ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
The report suggests that the the Ivory Coast international’s impressive displays for Roma this term have made him one of the most in-demand central midfielders in Europe in the build-up to the window reopening.

Ndicka, 26, joined Roma from German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt back in 2023 and has since made a total of 120 appearances for the Italian side, scoring six goals.
According to the report, La Liga champions Barcelona are huge admirers of the Ivorian and have been following the player’s progress for some time now.
While Roma are reluctant to allow Ndicka to depart the Italian capital this summer, it is claimed that a bid in the region of £39 million could be enough to persuade the Serie A side to let the player leave.
Manchester United are also said to be interested in the midfielder, who has just over two years remaining on his current deal with Roma.
Both Liverpool and Spurs are said to have identified the player as a candidate to improve their respective squads in the defensive midfield department.
