From the outside it’s a regular-looking home on a typical Belgian street. Zepperen is a village in the Flemish province of Limburg, about 60km east of Brussels and 30km northwest of Liège, and Cyclist is here to visit Leo Moors, founder and curator of the eponymous Leo’s Bike Collection, but it looks like we might have got the wrong address. Standing in the quiet residential street, the house doesn’t look like a museum. It just looks like a house.
A ring on the doorbell elicits the sound of barking from inside, quickly followed by a gentle Flemish voice urging the dog to quieten down. Moors’s wife answers the door and we are shown through to what at first glance looks like nothing more than a garage but, as we will soon see, there is nothing normal about Leo Moors’s home.
