It was a rough Week 15 performance for Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the team as a whole against the Chicago Bears, but there was a key mistake made by wide receiver Jerry Jeudy that resulted in an interception.
In his post-game press conference, Sanders didn’t hold back regarding his thoughts on the moment.
Shedeur Sanders Comments on One of His Three Interceptions
With just under six minutes to go in the third quarter of the Week 15 contest against the Bears, down 21-3, Sanders, a fifth-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, delivered an excellent sideline catch to his Jeudy that shouldn’t have only been a catch, but a touchdown as well.
Instead, Jeudy allowed the ball to be wrestled out of his hands by Bears defensive back Jaylon Johnson, resulting in an interception in the end zone.

This marked one of Sanders’ three interceptions on the day. In all, he finished with 18 completions on 35 attempts for 177 yards, no touchdowns, and those interceptions. He also ran twice for 24 yards, leading the team in rushing.
After getting demolished 31-3 at Soldier Field, Sanders was asked about the moment.
“… Pass to Jeudy was right on the money, and it ends up being intercepted. How disappointing, frustrating, was that?” the reporter asked.
“Nah, it’s gonna happen,” he started. “So, like it is what it is… I’m not one to, you know, ever kick somebody down when he’s down. You know, like he understands that’s a big play… I’m sure he’s hard on himself… There’s no need for me to be extra and do that,” Sanders said.

This was a much different take than what Shannon Sharpe had to say. “Damn Jeudy!!! Sanders couldn’t place it any better,” said Sharpe.
Since entering the lineup as the starting quarterback in Week 12, Sanders is 1-3 with his lone win coming in his first start on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders.
In all, he’s completed 72 of 138 passes for 946 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. Interestingly, he had three touchdown passes last week and followed that up with three interceptions this week.
Not only that, but he’s posted a PFSN Quarterback Impact score of 66.6, which ranks 36th in the NFL, just behind New Orleans Saints signal-caller Spencer Rattler and ahead of Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills.
We’ll see if the Browns can bounce back in Week 16 at home against the Buffalo Bills.
