Shikhar Dhawan recently announced his retirement from international cricket. In a wholesome video message, he expressed his gratitude to his fans, family, and coaches for their unstopping support through his whole career. After his retirement, Dhawan said in an interview about the potential actors who could portray his role for a biopic. Dhawan expressed that he is open to play the role himself but also said that Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh as his other favourable choices.
“I would love it, only if it is made well. As for me acting in it, I would happily do it in case I added any value to the film. As for other actors, I would love for Akshay Paaji (Akshay Kumar) to do it, or even Ranveer Singh, for the sheer energy he has,” said Dhawan.
Dhawan expressed his satisfaction as he retired from cricket, since he represented India in all three formats of cricket after his international debut in 2010.
“As I close this chapter of my cricketing journey, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind,” Dhawan said in a post on ‘X’.
“It’s important to turn the page to move forward in life and that’s why I am announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket. I am leaving with peace in my heart that I played so long for India,” he added.
