The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India A squad for the upcoming test series against Australia A, set to begin from October 31. India will play two Tests against Australia A, and the third match will be played between the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma and the senior men’s cricket team of Australia.
Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead India A with Abhimanyu Easwaran will be there as his deputy. One of the most important exclusion from the 15-member team was Mayank Yadav, who was mainly predicted to be included. The selectors decided to go with players like Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Yash Dayal, and Navdeep Saini.
“The Men’s Selection Committee has picked a 15-member India A squad for the upcoming tour of Australia. India A will play two first-class matches against Australia A in Mackay and Melbourne respectively and then take part in a three-day intra-squad game against Team India (Senior Men) in Perth” said BCCI in a release.
