Skyy Moore Fired Up About His New Role With Packers

The Packers could still add to the receiving corps around quarterback Jordan Love during the upcoming NFL Draft, but earlier this offseason brought a veteran in for competition at the position and to boost Green Bay’s special teams.

When the Packers acquired Skyy Moore, the expectation was that he would primarily be a boost on special teams, and in the return game.

Turns out, Moore, 25, believes he can be a big upgrade for the Packers in that regard.

“I could come in and kind of be the same thing from San Fran,” Moore told Packers on SI. “San Fran had the same struggles early, like early in the season, and we talked about how their special teams were at the bottom half of the league and my job was to come in there to help change that around.”

Last season in Green Bay, the return game was one of the more wildly inconsistent aspects of the Packers’ entire season, adding Moore has the chance to be an immediate upgrade, or at the very least, an infusion of veteran stability.

“So, I’m going to look at it in the same manner,” Moore said. “Just going in there, earning my stripes, earning my role, and hopefully we can get in that top 10.”
