Smriti Mandhana embedded her name in history. She became the first female batter to score a fourth ODI hundred in 2024. This fest came during India’s match against Australia at WACA in Perth.

Smriti Mandhana Creates History 

Smriti Mandhana became the first female batter to score four centuries in a calendar year. She etched her name in history during WACA in Perth. Mandhana scored a brilliant score of 105 off 109. She hit 14 boundaries and one six.

Smriti has been dominating in 2024 with her batting prowess in women’s ODI cricket. She surpassed the likes of Belinda Clark, Meg Lanning and Sophie Devine who scored three centuries in a calendar year. Mandana’s consistent performance set her apart as a leading batter while maintaining her calm.

Exceptional Innings At WACA

Australian women bowlers were phenomenally attacking India’s women in blue. Despite facing the fiery bowling, Smriti Mandhana gave it her all, showcasing her control and precision at the crease. Her power packed knock of 105 helped India to score a decent score.

However , Ash Gardner dismissed Mandhana eventually. Smriti mandhana still reflected her formidable approach towards Australia. Smriti Mandhana’s new achievement added another feather to her cap and she continues to inspire the younger generation.

Team India still failed to win the match against the Aussie women. Australia has given the target of 299 to India, but team India was bowled out 215 despite Smriti’s exceptional batting.
