In the fourth and final ODI of the series between India and South Africa held at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, the Indian batting duo of Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma went on a rampage.
After losing Abhishek Sharma for a quick-fire 36 off 18 deliveries, Samson and Varma would go on to annihilate the South African bowling attack with their record-breaking partnership of 210 runs.
Both the batters would go on to score their second century of the series as India posted a mammoth total of 283/1 in their 20 overs. Samson remained unbeaten on 109 off 56 deliveries, while Varma remained unbeaten on 120 off 47 deliveries. The former scored 6 boundaries and 9 sixes while the latter scored 9 boundaries and 10 sixes in their respective knocks.
Social media erupted following the Indian innings and couldn’t help but sing praises for the duo of Samson and Varma, who absolutely crushed the South African bowlers.
