Sol Ruca Costs Zaria the NXT Women’s Title! Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe Street Fight Made Official

Sol Ruca Costs Zaria the NXT Women’s Title! Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe Street Fight Made Official

This week’s episode of WWE NXT delivered the final pieces in the build to Vengeance Day this Saturday. Last week, Zaria turned on her longtime ally Sol Ruca after months of simmering tension. With that moment still hanging over the division, Zaria stepped into the spotlight against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne in the night’s main event.

Before diving into the women’s division, however, the show opened with an entertaining detour.

NXT Men’s North American Championship

Myles Borne vs. Ethan Page

Both competitors began the match in full dress clothes, and what started as a traditional championship bout quickly unraveled into something resembling a tuxedo match.

Page took early control while both men continued fighting as they gradually stripped away their formalwear. At one point Page removed Borne’s belt and threatened to use it before taking off his own belt instead. Page used the buckle to punch Borne, scoring a two-count while the referee remained unaware of the shortcut.

With Page now wrestling in his shorts after his pants were mostly removed, Borne fought back. He tripped Page and locked in an Ankle Lock, forcing Page to kick him away to escape. Borne responded by grabbing one of his shoes and striking Page with it while the referee’s attention was elsewhere.

Moments later Borne capitalized, hitting Borne Again to secure the pinfall victory.

Winner by pinfall: Myles Borne (and the viewers of Diva Dirt)

Backstage, Zaria was interviewed by Sarah Schreiber. When asked why she attacked Sol Ruca the previous week, Zaria dismissed the question entirely, making it clear she had little interest in explaining her actions.

Elsewhere backstage, Blake Monroe was shown preparing to head to the ring for a segment.

Blake Monroe and Jaida Parker Trade Words

Blake Monroe entered the ring to deliver a promo addressing her ongoing issues with Jaida Parker.

Monroe declared that Parker had only proven her point by continuing to engage with her. According to Monroe, she is “the conversation, the controversy, and the standard,” claiming that everything she does trends whenever she competes. She argued that people obsess over her and love to hate her more than they care about Jaida Parker.

Monroe went even further, insisting the entire division revolves around her. She said Parker stepping to her was simply the fastest way to become relevant and promised she would share her spotlight at Vengeance Day before moving on toward Stand & Deliver.

Jaida Parker interrupted the promo to chants of “Miss Parker” from the crowd. Parker wasted little time firing back, saying she wanted to slap the taste out of Monroe’s mouth. Parker said she had Monroe figured out long ago and claimed the “Glamour” persona existed because Monroe was insecure.

Parker argued that Monroe cares far too much about what others think, while she herself doesn’t. She promised to give Monroe the beating she needs because Monroe ultimately needs Parker.

Monroe attempted to respond, but Parker cut her off and told her to shut her “soft” self up, accusing Monroe of being scared and not who she claims to be. Parker added that if Monroe stopped believing everyone wanted to hate on “The Glamour,” all that would remain was a “mediocre bitch.”

Monroe threw the first punch, but Parker quickly fought back and dropped Monroe with a running Hipnotic, sending Monroe rolling out of the ring.

Both women continue to shine in these segments. Monroe is a classic arrogant heel who invites the audience to dislike her, while Parker’s confidence makes her an easy babyface to support. Their eventual clash at Vengeance Day feels like a legitimate contender’s bout that could go either way.

Later in the show, Monroe returned to ringside wearing a different all-black outfit.

Monroe announced that Jaida Parker had brought out the worst in her and declared that their conflict would end at Vengeance Day in a Street Fight.

Parker immediately stormed the ring and the two began brawling again before being separated.

Women’s Speed Tournament Semifinal

Wren Sinclair (w/ Kendal Grey) vs. Nikkita Lyons

This match took place under Speed rules with a strict three-minute time limit, which meant both competitors pushed the pace immediately.

The match opened with quick pin attempts from both women. Sinclair landed a kick to the gut before Lyons answered by knocking her down and hitting a leg drop.

Lyons followed with a suplex for a two-count, but Sinclair regained control with chops and a clothesline. With one minute remaining, Sinclair connected with a running clothesline.

Lyons attempted a leg drop on the apron, but Sinclair moved and countered with a dropkick that knocked Lyons to the floor. Back inside the ring, Lyons rebounded with a spinning kick to the head for two.

Sinclair flipped through a pin attempt of her own and nearly scored the win before dodging Lyons again and delivering a belly-to-back suplex.

Lyons then trapped Sinclair in an arm submission called The Final Wrench, forcing Sinclair to tap out at 2:55.

Winner by submission: Wren Sinclair

The match moved quickly. Sinclair picking up the victory is a nice moment for her, while Lyons continues to show steady improvement since her time on Evolve.

Face-to-Face: Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley

Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley met for a tense sit-down confrontation, seated across from each other with a dollhouse placed between them. Paxley quietly played with the dolls as the conversation began.

Dame mocked Paxley for speaking to dolls that cannot respond, telling her she is fundamentally unlovable. Dame claimed Paxley was nothing without her and called her pathetic.

Paxley calmly replied that she once believed becoming NXT Champion was the best feeling in the world, but taking the NXT North American Championship from Dame at Vengeance Day would mean even more.

Before leaving, Paxley handed Dame a blonde doll and reminded her that she was never meant to be played with. After Paxley exited, Dame angrily knocked over the dollhouse.

This feud continues to work because both characters are clearly defined. Dame plays the manipulative heel while Paxley is the sympathetic underdog trying to prove people wrong (in her own Tatum kinda way). With the rivalry stretching on for some time, Vengeance Day feels like the right moment for the story to reach its conclusion.

Kelania Jordan/Lola Vice Prepare for Underground Match

A training vignette showed Kelani Jordan preparing for her upcoming Underground Match against Lola Vice.

Jordan trained alongside submission specialist Shayna Baszler, who warned that Vice is not someone to underestimate. Jordan attempted to mix her usual athletic style with submissions, though Baszler pointed out that some of her gymnastics-based instincts would not translate well to the Underground environment.

The segment ended with the announcers reminding viewers that Lola Vice currently holds a 3–0 record in Underground Matches.

The training footage helped establish that Jordan is actively trying to adapt her style ahead of the fight.

Later in the night we see Lola Vice backstage with a doctor talking about her injured right-hand. The doctor warned that competing could worsen the damage. Vice insisted she is one of the most reliable women in WWE and said she has too many opportunities ahead to step aside now. She confirmed she had signed paperwork clearing both the doctors and NXT of liability. Vice closed by saying she intends to compete and the doctor instructed her to return after her match.

NXT Women’s Championship

Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Zaria

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne entered the arena accompanied by Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence.

This match carried an unusual dynamic, as Zaria had turned heel only a week earlier, making it a rare heel-versus-heel title bout.

Jayne kept glancing around early in the match, clearly expecting Sol Ruca to appear and interfere on Zaria’s behalf. No one came.

Zaria started aggressively, driving Jayne into the turnbuckle and unloading with punches. Jayne answered with a headscissors and attempted to counter Zaria’s power offense with quick pin attempts.

Zaria regained momentum with a pump kick followed by a suplex and a delayed vertical suplex. She then clotheslined Jayne on the apron and briefly choked her against the ring edge.

Fatal Influence soon became involved. Henley distracted Zaria long enough for Reid to pull Jayne out of the way of a charging attack, sending Zaria crashing into the steel steps. Jayne capitalized with a cannonball against the turnbuckle as the show cut to break.

After the commercial, the pace intensified. Zaria powered Jayne off the middle rope with a superplex, and the two traded strikes in the center of the ring. Zaria connected with a headbutt and a running back elbow splash before launching Jayne with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex and a clothesline for two.

Jayne briefly regained control with a knee smash for a near fall after Zaria charged. She attempted Rolling Encore, but Zaria avoided it and fired back with a Spear.

Before Zaria could finish the match, Jayne recovered and finally landed Rolling Encore.

At that moment, Sol Ruca rushed to the ring. Ruca attacked Henley and Reid on the floor before entering the ring and delivering a Soul Snatcher to both Jayne and Zaria.

The referee had no choice but to call for the bell.

Match Result: Double Disqualification

The match itself was solid for the time it received, and the finish clearly protected Zaria by preventing her from taking a loss. The likely direction now appears to be a triple threat for the NXT Women’s Championship involving Jayne, Ruca, and Zaria.

After the match, Ruca told Zaria that Zaria’s soul belonged to her before kissing her on the forehead. She then warned Jayne that she was coming for the championship. Lainey Reid attempted to attack Ruca on the outside, but Ruca struck her with the title belt, albeit with a somewhat awkward looking shot.

NXT Interim General Manager Robert Stone later appeared in an interview with Sarah Schreiber. Stone said he would have a decision regarding the NXT Women’s Championship situation at Vengeance Day, strongly hinting that the anticipated triple threat match will soon be made official.
