News and Notes
Reds Booms and Busts
Dan Szymborski released his Booms! and Busts! list at Fangraphs. One Reds player lands on each list. He’s buying into Matt McLain getting back to being a good hitter. But he thinks one Reds player is going to move from a starting role into a bench guy due to performance.
More cuts, Opening Day roster appears to be set
Cincinnati made four cuts yesterday and with that there are 26 players left in camp who know they aren’t heading to the injured list or to the minors. While trades or waiver claims could still change things, without those the Opening Day roster is going to be set if everyone remains healthy until Thursday. We’ve got what the roster looks like here.
