After signing Rico Dowdle late on Monday, the Steelers weren’t done with roster moves just yet.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are re-signing Esezi Otomewo to a one-year deal.
The contract details have yet to be released. Otomewo was a restricted free agent entering the new league year, but it sounds like he and the Steelers agreed to a new contract rather than a tender.

Otomewo, 27, spent his first season with the Steelers in 2025, where he played in 12 games. He logged nine total tackles and one sack. He previously spent time with the Jaguars and Vikings.
Otomewo is the first defensive lineman the Steelers have re-signed so far in free agency. Isaiahh Loudermilk, Dean Lowry, and Daniel Ekuale are unrestricted free agents, while Jacob Slade is an exclusive rights free agent.
