January 2023

Stefanos only played in one warm-up tournament (United Cup), before playing in the first grand slam event of the year (Australian Open).

February 2023

At the start of the month, Stefanos helped Greece defeat Ecuador 3-1 in a qualifying match for the 2023 Davis Cup Finals.

Tsitsipas’s next tournament was at the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam, where he lost to Jannik Sinner in the second round 6-3, 6-4.

He was also due to play in the Mexican Open in Acapulco but withdrew from the event due to an ongoing shoulder injury.

Stefanos played in the Indian Wells and Miami Masters tournaments in March but lost before the quarterfinal stage in both.

April 2023

April saw Stefanos return to his favorite playing surface (clay), as he made it to the quarterfinals in Monte-Carlo/Madrid and the final in Barcelona (Lost to Carlos Alcaraz 6-3, 6-4 in the final).
