Steve Austin’s Status for 3:16 Day WWE RAW in Texas Revealed

WWE might be getting ready to bring the Texas Rattlesnake back to Monday Night RAW on the occasion of 3:16 Day next week.

WrestleVotes revealed during a March 9, 2026 Q&A session that there is growing hope within WWE that Stone Cold Steve Austin will appear on the March 16 episode of RAW in San Antonio, Texas — which happens to fall on the iconic 3:16 Day. According to WrestleVotes, several people inside the company are optimistic that Austin could show up for the special occasion, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

“We talked to a couple of people over the weekend. There have been conversations that… I don’t want to say WWE has invited Steve Austin to RAW next Monday night on 3:16 Day in San Antonio, Texas, but there are people who work for the company that are very hopeful that Steve Austin will be on that Monday Night RAW just a week from tonight.”

If the appearance happens, it would mark the Texas Rattlesnake’s first time appearing on Monday Night RAW in years: “This would be his first Monday night appearance since before COVID.”

Austin has remained selective about his WWE appearances in recent years. The Hall of Famer famously returned to the ring at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 for a surprise match against Kevin Owens, but has mostly stayed away from regular WWE television since then, with his last appearance being at WrestleMania 41.

However, with RAW heading to Texas and the date aligning perfectly with the legendary 3:16 Day, the setup could be too perfect to ignore. For now, there’s no indication of that happening — but if Austin does appear in San Antonio, fans may hear that famous glass shatter once again.
