Steve Maclin Thanks Fans For Their Support After Injury Scare Incident at TNA Sacrifice 2026

As noted before, Steve Maclin suffered a head-related injury during his match against Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship at Friday’s TNA Sacrifice 2026 event in Westwego, Louisiana. Following the show, Maclin was revealed to have cleared all of his medical tests and was not diagnosed with a concussion injury.

Maclin provided an update on Saturday on Twitter thanking fans for their support of him following his injury scare.

Two New Champions Crowned at MLP Uprising 2026

Saturday’s Uprising 2026 event for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling at St. Clair’s College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada featured two championships changing hands.

The first was Sheldon Jean & Brent Banks defeating The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) to become the new MLP Canadian Tag Team Champions.

The second was Stu Grayson defeating Jay Lethal, Michael Oku, Rich Swann, Rohan Raja, and Jonathan Gresham in a Six-Man Elimination Challenge match to become the new Interim MLP Canadian Champion.


Miyu Yamashita vs Janai Kai Set for GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV

Josh Barnett recently announced one new match for the card of Game Changer Wrestling’s Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV event on April 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This new match announced was a singles match of Miyu Yamashita vs Janai Kai.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

TNA Wrestling recently announced that Eddie Edwards and referee Alice Lane were awarded their All Star Award for this past Friday’s TNA Sacrifice event in Westwego, Louisana. TNA President Carlos Silva announced that Lane was given the award for her decision to stop the match between Steve Maclin and Mike Santana after Maclin suffered a head-related injury and was unable to continue. Silva also announced that Edwards was given the award for stepping up in a big way by coming out during the match and having an impromptu brawl with Santana for a few minutes.

WrestleCon recently announced that former WWE wrestler Braun Strowman, former AEW wrestler Cezar Bononi, Marcus Mathers, Alex Gracia, Brittnie Brooks, Ben-K, Alex Windsor, and Viva Van will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon Las Vegas convention on April 16-19, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

CMLL reportedly drew an attendance of around 16,000 for their March 20th Homenaje a Dos Leyendas 2026 event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they had pulled Tiger Mask from Saturday’s Road to Sakura Genesis event in Ibaraki, Japan due to a health concern issue. No other details were given regarding Tiger Mask’s health issue.

NJPW reportedly drew a paid attendance of 1,906 for their March 20th New Japan Cup 2026 event in Nagaoka and 3,007 for their March 21st New Japan Cup 2026 Finals event in Nagaoka, Japan, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling reportedly drew a total of 5,408 for their April 17-22 Texas Stampede events in Texas, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer reported that TJPW drew a larger attendance for this recent four-show tour than they had for all of their events in Japan combined so far this year at 3,918.

Game Changer Wrestling recently announced that Ruckus will be getting inducted into the 2300 Arena Hardcore Hall of Fame at their One Night Only event on May 2nd at the venue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

GCW also recently announced one new match for the card of their Maniac event on April 4th in Los Angeles, California:

  • Six-Man Tag Team match – Mistico, Amazing Red, & Mascara Dorada vs. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, & Dezmond Xavier)
