Stoneshard’s 2026 Roadmap Brings Legendary Items, An

Hardcore turn-based RPG Stoneshard has unveiled a new roadmap that covers the additions we can expect throughout 2026 and beyond. Developer Ink Stains Games aims to focus on adding the few remaining major systems still missing from its game, leaving the completion of its main quest for last.

The Ancient Echoes update marks the next major step on Stoneshard’s 2026 roadmap. It introduces the enchantment system, which “moves away from scrolls toward a more predictable system based on formulas and ingredients” that allow us to imbue equipment “with both stat bonuses and special perks that function similarly to passive abilities.”

Legendary items will also be added in the same update. Described as “the pinnacle of endgame equipment,” they can “alter the properties of your abilities” but can only reliably be obtained by venturing inside a new dungeon that houses some of Stoneshard’s most dangerous foes.

Procedurally-generated tasks will replace the current static fetch quests, wands will be added as a new weapon type for us to wield, while new landmarks bring variety to the world map.

Beyond 2026, Stoneshard’s roadmap looks to introduce dynamic traits, a character creator, new enemy factions, lockpicking, fishing, and more.
