Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will hope to see his side build on Tuesday’s narrow win over Sporting CP when they face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Gunners currently sit nine points clear at the top of the table, although second-placed Manchester City do have a game-in-hand.
Arteta has guided his seen his side finish second in each of the past three campaigns, and the Spaniard will be desperate to go one better this time around.
Ahead of the visit of the Cherries, though, it is emerging that one member of Arteta’s squad is keen to stay put at The Emirates despite doubts surrounding his future.
According to Football Insider, winger Gabriel Martinelli is pushing to stay at Arsenal despite the club indicating that he may be put up for sale this summer.
The report claims that the Gunners have identified the Brazilian as a player that could be moved on during the upcoming summer transfer window, with the forward’s form having dipped this term.

Martinelli, 24, arrived in London in 2019 from Brazilian side Ituano and gradually established himself as a key player in the Arsenal squad.
The Brazil international has now played 269 times for the north London giants across all competitions, contributing a combined 97 goals and assists in that time.
This season the winger has struggled to maintain his best form, though, starting just nine of Arsenal’s 31 Premier League games so far.
It is claimed that, despite Arsenal considering a sale this summer, Martinelli himself is keen to stay put in the capital and fight for his place in Arteta’s side.
Martinelli is set to enter the final year of his current contract this summer, and his situation could prompt the Gunners to consider selling the winger if they do decide to move players on.
