Week three of Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026 features two Friday fixtures and the other two on Saturday. The Friday night double sees Los Pampas facing Los Capibaras in the first-ever meeting between the teams in SRA. The other Friday match is also an Argentine derby as Los Tarucas play host to Los Dogos in Tucumán.
The first and second week results of SRA 2026 saw Argentine teams dominating. Week three is thus an opportunity for some potential change. It will not be easy for Selknam who travel to face Peñarol in Montevideo without 22 players due to the Chile international uncapped match against Italy XV.
Meanwhile, one of Yacare and Os Cobras will earn their first win of the SRA 2026 season in the final match of the week. That is, assuming, they do not compete to a draw. Both Yacare and Os Cobras have bonus points while Peñarol are rock-bottom without any thus far.

- There may be a shake-up to the standings given that the undefeated Tarucas and Dogos clash on Friday in Tucumán.
- Puma Santiago Cordero will make his Super Rugby Americas debut. Cordero played at Rugby World Cup 2015 and as a professional played for elite teams in Super Rugby, the English Premiership, Top 14 and the United Rugby Championship.
- Cordero is one of three changes made by Juan Manuel Leguizamón for Los Pampas. The others see first starts for Marcos Camerlinckx and Francisco Sluga.
- Regular captain Juan Cruz Pérez Rachel is out which sees Lucas Marguery leading the Buenos Aires team.
- Ex Pampas will take to the field for Los Capibaras. They include captain Manuel Bernstein, center Bruno Heit and second-rower Lorenzo Colidio.
- Bernardo Lis will debut for Los Capibaras as the team’s replacement hooker. The 29-year-old is the oldest member of Los Capibaras’ roster. Elsewhere among the replacements, Ignacio Gallo has been recalled.
- Los Tarucas have made two alterations to the front-row with Mariano Muntaner and José Calderoni starting.
- The 2025 results were split; Los Dogos won 43-29 in Tucumán while Los Tarucas won 22-20 in Córdoba.
