The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has finally announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, set to begin February 19. Najmul Hossain Shanto is going to lead the side in the mega event, which is going to be held in Pakistan and Dubai.
There was a lot of suspense over the participation of superstar all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, which has now come to an end, as unfortunately he did not make the cut in the squad for the marquee event. This decision came after he failed the test for his bowling action which was held in Chennai last month.
Litton Das also missed his spot as he is currently going through a rough patch in his career. The star is currently appearing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) where also he has only scored only single-digit scores in most of the matches.
Bangladesh will play their opening clash against India, which will be held in Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. Bangladesh cricket team were the semifinalist of the last edition of the tournament, which is their all-time best in the history of the eent.
