SVNS Series standings after Vancouver 7s

The 2026 HSBC SVNS Series standings took shape following the Vancouver leg, with Fiji and South Africa locked at the top of the men’s table, while New Zealand continue to dominate the women’s competition after another strong outing in Canada.

Men’s Standings

Fiji remain at the summit of the men’s standings with 86 points, holding first place after consistent performances across the series so far. The Pacific Islanders are level on points with South Africa, but stay ahead on tiebreakers following their results across the earlier rounds.

South Africa sit second with 86 points, keeping pressure on the leaders as the race for the top spot tightens heading into the next leg of the series.

New Zealand occupy third place with 70 points, maintaining a solid position in the top four, while Australia follow closely in fourth with 68 points, keeping themselves firmly in the hunt.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

France complete the top five with 64 points, while Argentina sit sixth with 56 points.  Further down the table, Spain are seventh with 54 points, while Great Britain round out the top eight with 36 points, leaving them with work to do in the remaining rounds to remain competitive.

Women’s Standings

In the women’s competition, New Zealand’s Black Ferns Sevens continue to set the pace, topping the standings with 98 points after another impressive performance in Vancouver.

Australia remain their closest challengers in second place with 92 points, maintaining a strong title push as the rivalry between the two powerhouses continues to shape the series.

The United States sit third with 70 points. France are fourth with 66 points, while Canada, buoyed by strong support on home soil in Vancouver, sit fifth with 60 points.

Japan are sixth with 54 points, followed by Fiji in seventh with 50 points, while Great Britain complete the top eight with 30 points.
